Carrie “Bounce” Myers
Director, Outdoor Programs

Carrie arrived to work at Keyauwee in January of 2002. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine from Mount Union College and a Master’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure from the University of Toledo. She has spent her career working in outdoor programs for various organizations such as the YMCA and Campfire Boys and Girls. Carrie serves on the Southeastern American Camp Association Board as Education Chair. She has two great camp dogs, Sadie and Riley and loves to travel, backpack, gardening, go birding, and be outside!


Andria “Andi” York
Assistant Director, Outdoor Programs

Andi arrived to work at Keyauwee in January 2005. She graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism and is currently pursuing certification as a North Carolina Environmental Educator. In her free time, Andi is an avid geocacher, amateur potter, loves to read, and play with her two dogs, George and Gelly Biscuit.


Melissa "Chaco" Hoose
Equine Program Director

Melissa arrived to work at Keyauwee in May 2005. She graduated from Asbury College with a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation with an emphasis on Equine Management. She also is a CHA certified riding instructor and has been teaching kids and adults to ride for over 6 years. Besides horses, Chaco loves hiking, canoeing, eating sushi and obsessing about her cute dog, Maddy.


 

Paul Hoffman
Ranger

Ranger Paul arrived to work at Keyauwee in January 2000. He spent a career in the Navy and retired to start another career in the Girl Scouts! He was a Ranger for a Girl Scout camp in Florida before arriving at Keyauwee. Ranger Paul has a knack for woodworking and folk art crafts in his spare time.
