Riding Lessons

Circle C Ranch offers riding lessons to anyone 9 years old and up. Even though Circle C Ranch is operated by the Girl Scouts, you need not be a girl or scout to participate.

Weekly lessons are 1-hour in length and consist of grooming and saddling, instruction in the arena, and an occasional trail ride depending on student interest. All lessons are taught by certified CHA riding instructors. Here at the Ranch, safety is our top priority. We do every thing we can to provide a safe, fun, and educational experience. We focus on building a strong foundation of horsemanship that will lead to confidence on and off the horse.

We offer private and semi-private lessons. Semi-private lessons are limited to 2 students who sign up together to ensure quality instruction.

  • Prices

    Private Lessons:

$40 per student & $35 for registered Girl Scouts

    Semi-Private Lessons:

$25 per student & $20 for registered Girl Scouts

(Girl Scout membership is $12 per year)

  • Schedule

Lessons are scheduled between the hours of 9:00am-8:00pm Monday-Friday. We are unable to provide lessons on the weekends.

The fall semester runs mid-September through mid-December and the spring semester runs mid-January through mid-May.

Each May, the semester concludes with an in-house horse show for all interested students for some friendly competition and to show off all they have been learning.

  • Payment

Option 1: Payment for the first 2 lessons is due at your first lesson. At the second lesson payment is due for the third so students are always paid ahead one lesson.

Option 2: Lessons for the whole semester are paid in full at your first lesson. If lessons are paid in full at the start of the semester, the last lesson will be free.

  • Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to a scheduled lesson. If a cancellation is less than 24 hour prior to the lesson, students will still be charged for the cost of the lesson.

Cancellation due to weather is at the discretion of the instuctor. Lessons cancelled by theinstructor will resume at the next regularly scheduled lesson time.

Conditions that may warrant a cancellation: heavy rain, severe winds, thunder and lightning storms, hazardous driving conditions.
