Volunteers are an integral piece to Circle “C” Ranch! Our most popular volunteer program is our Wrangler-in-Training (WIT) program for girls 13 and older.
As a WIT you will learn how to teach others about horses. You’ll learn to teach about grooming, leading riding, and caring for horses. In return for your help at the barn, you will have the opportunity to ride, broaden your knowledge of horses, and meet friends that share a love for horses.
Being a WIT can be hard work. WITs generally help with weekend riding programs. Some of their tasks include: feeding, cleaning stalls, grooming horses, tacking, leading horses on trail rides, assist in teaching ground and mounted lessons. WITs can work as little or as much as you would like. However, to be able to participate in WIT riding times, you must volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per month. WITs are usually needed Saturdays and Sundays 9am-5pm during the school year.
