Summer Employment Opportunities

This amazing camp provides a variety of on-site activities including: swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, basketball, horseback riding, crafts, drama, challenge courses, Alpine Tower and swing,climbing wall and much more! Some programs take off-site trips for whitewater rafting, rock climbing, backpacking, llama trek, kayaking, caving, and primitive camping. No matter what programs you participate in, you are guaranteed to experience an endless amount of laughter and fun while creating memories to last a lifetime!

Parenthesis indicates # of staff hired for each position:

UNIT DIRECTOR (2)-This position will be responsible for supervising the Unit staff, managing the quality of programs in the units, managing staff issues and camper behavior when needed and acting as a liaison between Unit Staff and Directors for daily staff needs. Minimum age 21; salary $225+ per week.

ACTIVITY DIRECTOR (1) This position will be responsible for supervising the program staff (adventure, nature, crafts) and areas (archery, challenge course) as well as planning and implementing all-camp programs, maintaining off-site trip gear and logistics, managing staff issues and camper behavior when needed and acting as a liaison between program staff and Directors. Minimum age 21; salary $225+ per week.

WATERFRONT DIRECTOR (1) - Supervise all pool and waterfront activities and staff (swimming, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating). Responsible for scheduling lifeguards, assisting Health Supervisor with first aid calls, paperwork, and medications. Qualifications: Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR; supervisory skills; Small Craft certification a plus.
Minimum age 21; salary $225+ per week.

HEALTH SUPERVISOR (1) - Implements health care plan for camp including first aid and dispensing medication. Qualifications: R.N., L.P .N., Paramedic, or E.M.T. Current First Aid and CPR. Prior camp experience helpful. Minimum age 21; salary $250+ per week.

CIT COORDINATOR (1) - Provides leadership for the Counselor-in- Training program. Assists with program development and supervision. Qualifications: college degree or equivalent, previous camp counseling experience. Girl Scout background a plus. Minimum age 21; salary $225+ per week.

UNIT LEADER (12)- Facilitates camp program in a unit with a maximum of 22 girls. Supervises staff members within the unit. Coordinates weekly schedule of activities. Responsible for communicating needs of unit to administrative staff. Qualifications: senior in college, previous camp counseling experience. Girl Scout background helpful but not necessary.. Minimum age 21; salary $225+ per week

Unit Counselor (28-32)- The counselor is one of the most important positions on camp. You are an active role in the daily activities of your campers. Will learn to facilitate almost all camp activities to teach to campers. You are responsible for your campers safety, well-being, comforting, teaching, playing and laughing! Minimum age 18; salary $180+ per week

WATERFRONT SPECIALIST (3) - Assists with the implementation and supervision of pool and waterfront activities. Teaches boating activities such as canoeing, kayaking paddle boating. Qualifications: Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR; Small Craft certification or experience a plus. Minimum age 19; salary $180+ per week.

WRANGLER (3) -Assists with horse care and riding instruction. Qualifications: experience with horses and riding instruction. Minimum age 19; salary $180+ per week.

CRAFTS SPECIALIST (1)- Develop and supervise crafts program. Qualifications: creativeness and experience with various camp crafts and ability to plan activities for various age groups. Minimum age 19; salary $180+ per week.

ADVENTURE SPECIALIST (2) - Supervise and facilitate climbing wall, high ropes & challenge course. Qualifications: previous training & experience in climbing wall, high ropes & challenge course facilitation, Minimum age 19; salary $180+ per week.

Nature Specialist (1)- Develops Nature programs for campers ages 7-17 revolving around our camp garden. Will tend and care for Keyauwee's organic garden throughout the summer. Minimum age 19; salary $180+ per week.
