We love when Girl Scout Troops come to ride at Circle C Ranch! So what are you waiting for? Whether your troop wants to just have fun riding horses or they want to work on a horse badge, we have programs that will work for you! Troop Riding Programs are available on weekends throughout the school year.

Please be sure to include the age level of your troop, the number of girls expected to participate, which program your troop would like to do and a couple of dates you have in mind. Daisies and Brownies (Grades 1-3) __________________________________

**New** Pet-a-Pony
Come meet and pet the horses of Circle C Ranch! This is a 1 ˝ hour introductory horse program that includes a barn tour, grooming and a short, hand-led horse ride in the arena. This program is perfect for first-time riders and helping each girl feel more comfortable and confident around horses.

Fee: $16 per girl
Participants: Min. 6/max. 16
Times: 9:15, 11:00, 1:30, and 3:15

Pony Trails
This program has been developed for Daisies and Brownies who would like to step up from Pet-A-Pony. The 1 ˝ hour program includes grooming, barn games and a lead-line trail ride through the woods. Actual riding time per person is 12-15 minutes.

Fee: $16 per girl
Participants: Min. 6/max. 16
Times: 9:15, 11:00, 1:30 and 3:15


Juniors (Grades 3-5) _______________________________________________

Saddle Up!
During this 1 ˝ hour program, Juniors will be introduced to horse care through grooming a horse before going on a short trail ride near the barn. Participant will also have the opportunity to meet and pet the horses at the Ranch. Actual riding time per person is 12-15 minutes.

Fee: $16 per girl
Participants: Min. 6/max. 16
Times: 9:15, 11:00, 1:30 and 3:15

Horse Rider
This 3 hour program will allow Juniors to complete the requirements for the Horse Rider Badge. Girls will learn to groom and tack a horse as well as participate in a riding lesson before heading out on a trail ride. Other barn lessons will be taught to fulfill the requirements of the badge. With previous arrangements, troops may continue their day at the barn doing service projects. Actual riding time per person is 45-50 minutes.

Times: 9:30 and 1:30


**New** Advanced Horse Rider
Prerequisite: Horse Rider
This program is for Juniors who have competed the Horse Rider program at Circle C Ranch and want more! During this 3 hour program girls will be assigned a horse to groom and saddle. Riding time is split between an arena lesson and trail ride. The lesson will review skills from the Horse Rider program and then focus on trotting and learning 2-point position. When not riding, girls will learn about the equestrian sport of vaulting and other ground skills. Actual riding time per person is 45-50 minutes.

Fee: $30
Participants: Min. 6/max. 12
Times: 9:30 and 1:30

Coming soon… Caraway Creek Trail Ride
Prerequisite: Horse Rider, Horse Sense or equivalent experience.

Saddle up for the best trail Circle C Ranch has to offer! Meander along Caraway Creek, ride through creeks, across bridges, and up and down hills. This ride is NOT for first time riders, very beginners or those that are uncomfortable or nervous to ride. More details to come….

Fee: $20
Participants: Min. 4/max. 8
Times: TBA

Cadette and Senior (Grades 6+) _____________________________________

Horse Sense
In this 3-hour program, older girls will work towards earning their Horse Sense Interest Project Patch. The program includes grooming, tacking, riding lesson in the arena, a trail ride along with other barn lessons to help satisfy the Horse Sense requirements. Girl will need to complete additional requirements on their own to complete the patch. Actual riding time per person is 45-50 minutes.

Participants: Min. 6/max. 12
Times: 9:30 or 1:30
