kpccampfire1Camping is an important part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Girls develop independence, resourcefulness and respect for themselves and the environment at camp. They learn trust, teamwork and their own strengths. Best of all, they have lots of FUN!

All of our camping properties offer exciting opportunities for both camping with your troop or as a Camporee. Troop camping is a year-round camping experience of 24 or more consecutive hours planned and carried out by a group of girls and their leaders at a council property or council-approved site.

A Camporee is defined as a camping experience hosted by a Service Unit that includes multiple troops from within the SU.  The event needs to be a minimum of 24 consecutive hours. A Camporee is planned and carried out by a community of Girl Scouts-  troops and adult volunteers – during which a minimum of two all-camp activities are offered to bring together the Service Unit community.

Before a troop or Camporee can stay overnight at one of our camp properties, there are required trainings that a troop leader must have. Please contact our Outdoor Experience Coordinator to verify what level of training is required for your type of camping trip.

You can see facility pictures and amenities offered in each unit or building on the Facilities/Virtual Map page under each camp.

Troops are now able to view campsite availability and reserve units online with a credit card.
We are using the same system as our summer camp registration, so if you had a camper attend camp this past summer you already have an account!

To access the online reservation system:
Note – we only accept reservations 3 months in advance.

For reservations – please click HERE.

  • Click on either Troop Camping Oct-March or Troop Camping April-Sept
  • To make viewing easier click on Calendar View.
  • From the calendar you can easily scroll through and see what units are available.
  • On the calendar page you are also able to filter your camping options by, camp location, camping date and/or unit style
  • You can find out specifics about the unit by clicking on the unit name.

There is a $5 registration fee that will automatically be applied to your order for each unit you select.

Once you go through the entire registration process and enter your payment information, you will receive an automatic email confirmation for your weekend with important information about your visit and instructions on how to select activities. This will take the place of the packet that has previously been mailed. You will also receive an electronic receipt for your purchase, and if you do not have an Active Account already, you will receive an invitation to create one. This will make future reservations a snap!

Paper registration will still be available, but the online system will make your reservation instantly if the unit is available.

Units will be available for booking (either online or paper) three months in advance.

Camporees should not use this method for reservations. If you are interested in hosting a Camporee, please continue to complete the SU Camporee Request form found in the forms and resources section and submit up to 13 months in advance.
