Keyauwee Weekend Programs

1. Download the registration form for the program you would like to attend
2. Fill out ALL information necessary
3. Send in your registration form, health permission form (if applicable) and FULL payment to the council office (you will not be registered for a program unless you are paid in full)

4. Events fill up! Please note that registration deadlines are 2 weeks prior to the event.

Registration for programs will go to the Triad Service Center. If you have any questions about the registration process contact the program registrar, 1-800-672-2148. If you have questions about the actual program please contact the person listed for the program.

Use this form to register for all weekend programs: GSCP2P Weekend Program Registration. Additionally, here is the health/permission form: GSCP2P Health/Permission Form which is only necessary for overnight programs that girls attend without an adult.

 

Saturday Horse Camp for Junior Girl Scouts
Sept. 18, 25, and Oct. 2
(attendance at all 3 required)
9:30-12:30

One session is never enough! Come get your fill of horseback riding at our Saturday Horse Camp! Each week girls will groom and tack their horse before riding lessons. Once acquainted, spend quality time with your horse as you explore the surrounding woods and trails by horseback. Girls will also have time to learn all about horse care, horse tack, horse anatomy, complete requirements for the Horse Rider Badge and more!
Registration Deadline: Extended to September 10, 2010

Leaderee

September 17-19, 2010

What is Leaderee? Leaderee was established over 30 years ago as a way to show Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont’s appreciation to our hard working adult volunteers. It offers a relaxed weekend at the Keyauwee Program Center for adults only, with a variety of planned activities. Over the years, Leaderee has grown in popularity, size and practically guarantees to have a great weekend just for you! This weekend is your getaway time - a chance to make new friends, learn new crafts, explore Keyauwee or just plain relax. All meals are provided! What more could you ask for!

Keyauwee Staff Reunion!

October 2-3, 2010

Our Keyauwee Staff Reunion is held the first weekend in October every other year! This event is for anyone who has EVER been a staff member at Keyauwee and their families. Come join us for a weekend of memories, sharing old stories and photos, and sharing the place you love with old friends. Use an event registration form, but mail it directly to Andi York's attention at the Triad Service Center. Fee includes a t-shirt, supplies, and food. There is no fee for children under the age of 4 years old. Fee: $30 per person

Dad & I Weekend #1
October 16-17, 2010

A special weekend at Keyauwee just for dads and daughters! This Dad & I Weekend has a science theme, so come down to camp and enjoy all your favorite activities (boats, fishing, climbing wall, hiking, archery, and of course, birdhouses) as well as some science exploration! We'll provide all meals, staff, and supplies. Fee includes a t-shirt and patch.

Fee: $50 per person

Dad & I Weekend #2
October 30-31, 2010

A special weekend at Keyauwee just for dads and daughters! This Dad & I Weekend has a "green" theme, so come down to camp and enjoy all your favorite activities (boats, fishing, climbing wall, hiking, archery, and of course, birdhouses) as well as special Halloween fun! We'll provide all meals, staff, and supplies.

Junior Sky Search
November 6-7, 2010

Come to Keyauwee with your troop and earn the Sky Search Badge. Spend the afternoon learning all about the stars, sun, and planets and then after dark we'll use telescopes and other awesome tools to study the night sky! Only 2 adults per troop may register. We'll provide all meals, staff, and supplies.

Daisy Brownie Super Fun Day
December 4, 2010

It's a super fun day at Keyauwee! Spend the day as a troop working on the Outdoor Adventurer Try-it to go along with the It's Your Planet - Love It! Journey. We'll provide all staff and supplies. Troops are limited to 2 adults.

Horse Rider Badge Workshops for Junior Girl Scouts
Oct. 9th 9:30-12:30
OR
Nov. 21st 1:30-4:30

Earn your entire Horse Rider badge! During the workshop girls will learn how to groom and tack their horse, have a riding lessons and go on a trail ride. There will be time to learn parts of the horse, learn about tack and meet all the furry, 4-legged creatures at Circle C Ranch!

Trail Daze for Cadettes, Senior, Ambassador Girl Scouts
Oct. 17th 1:00-4:00
OR
Oct. 31st 1:00-4:00

Love trail riding? Start building a relationship with your horse and you groom, tack and participate in a short riding lesson. Then enjoy 2 hours on the trails as we ride around Caraway Creek, Lake Early and explore the wooded trails. Previous riding experience helpful, but not required. If you are uncomfortable, nervous, or scared to ride a horse, this event is not for you.
